A look at our favourite gardens you should visit in England. There are of course many more, but these are our top picks for a day out.
KEW GARDENS
One of our favourite gardens in the world. Kew is also the largest botanical gardens in the world and a must visit when in London. After several visit we still find new places to explore when we visit. Check out of mini guide of Kew Gardens here.
CASTLE ASHBY GARDENS
Located just outside of the town of Northampton Castle Ashby Gardens are a mixture of Italian designed gardens with one of the most beautiful Orangeries we have ever visited. There is also a butterfly garden, nature trail and Arboretum, check out our visit to Castle Ashby Gardens here.
THE LOST GARDENS OF HELIGAN
It is no surprise the The Lost Gardens of Heligan won Best UK Leisure and Heritage Attraction for 3 years in a row. Located in Cornwall and a unique gardens with many gems to explore during a visit.
The Lost Gardens of Heligan are magical, from the Jungles, rope bridge and traditional glass houses. There is so much to explore and see here. We loved the fun sculptures and art pieces that were hidden throughout the gardens. This is the type of gardens that all the family will love.
THE EDEN PROJECT
The Eden Project has to be included on this list. The futuristic Biomes, sculptures and artwork make the Eden Project unique. Breaking the mould of classical gardens and inspiring the next generation to become involved in conservation and caring for the planet. The Eden project is home to the only Redwood forest in Europe, planted in 2016 they are expected to soar some 25 meters high by 2050. Read about our visit to Eden here.
