Discover Nepal

There are mountains and then there are the Himalayas, nothing can prepare you for the scale of the beauty of these mountains. Being able to hike amongst 8000 meter mountains is an experience that we will never forget and one of the many reasons why Nepal is amongst our favourite countries.

Flying into Kathmandu late at night just not long after an airplane crashed off the runway in 2018 was how we were welcomed to Nepal. It was a shocking reality that there are very real safety concerns with flights in Nepal.

We had already decided against the very popular Everest Base Camp trek which would have required us to fly into the world's most dangerous airport Lukla! However, the events at Kathmandu airport made us even more sure that we made the right decision to take a 10 hours bus to Pokhara and hike the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. When arriving at Annapurna we knew we had made a brilliant decision as the hike was incredible and the sanctuary of mountains was spectacular!
