Love of Lemons
A vintage clothing shop featuring beautiful preloved goodies and a selection of sustainably produced brands including; Le Bon Shoppe, Cabinet, Odysee and Lotta from Stockholm.
Browse the carefully curated racks thoughtfully handpicked by Bex and the chances are you’ll find something that you can’t take your eyes away from! Love of Lemons stores is open from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm.

Good Lyfe
A lovely locally-owned shop close to the Fore street, one of the main streets in Newquay Good Lyfe sells everything eco. Here you’ll find eco-friendly toiletries, refillable groceries, natural skincare products, cleaning and beautiful gifts.
The staff are really friendly and happy to help you find what you are looking for and answer any questions. I was looking for a natural product remedy for my hayfever and was given some great suggestions!

MMW
Also found on Fore street, MMW features stylish homeware, clothing, jewellery, pottery and prints. From the outside, the dark facade hides the wonders that await you inside. Once you walk into the shop, there are many corners of the shop to explore and many gems to discover. Don’t miss this cool shop on your visit to Newquay!

Bonbon
This hidden gem is found next to Fistral beach car park with incredible views of the beach from the shop window. The shop features a bohomenian-inspired decor filled with lovely clothes, jewellery and home wares that you are spoilt for choice.
The owner created Bonbon as an inspiration from their travels and is well worth a stop even if it’s a walk from the main shopping area, you can combine it with a visit to the best surf beach (Fistral beach) on your visit to Newquay!

Sand & Palm
A Swim and surfwear brand with sustainability at the heart of everything they do. Vicki Jones founded Sand & Palm when she struggled to find swimwear that could be stylish, durable, and environmentally conscious.
Vicki’s designs take inspiration from her travels, and nature which are all produced using ECONYL nylon which is a regenerated nylon sourced from different types of fishing nets, fabric scraps and other nylon waste destined for landfill.
All Sand & Palm swimwear is produced in Vicki’s workshop in Newquay, Cornwall where each piece is made to order and comes to life once an order is placed. Fabrics are hand dyed and only created in small batches.

Ann’s Cottage
Originally starting in 1978, Ann’s cottage created their first shop in Polzeath beach and is now a well known surf shop that you’ll find across Cornwall. Newquay is home to three of their stores, two at Fistral beach and another on central square.
As an iconic surf and lifestyle shop, Ann’s Cottage has become known as a successful international brand outside of the UK. At Fistral beach they have two shops, one dedicated to lifestyle, casual clothing and next door is solely wetsuits and surf gear. They are a family run business and support the Cornwall Air Ambulance as their main charity.
Whenever we explore the rails of Ann’s cottage, there’s always seems to be something that catches our eye! We’d highly recommend a stop here when you visit Newquay.

Roo’s Beach
Roo’s Beach is an independent shop stocking a selection of well known brands with a focus on high quality products that are also stylish and sustainable.
Alongside its selection of irresistable clothes, Roo’s Beach also has the Plant Shed for all things green, where you can choose the perfect house plant and pick up all the accompanying accessories for a healthy, happy plant!
And to top it off, there is a Coffee Hut, which serves fresh coffee and delicious local treats.

Sunny days
Originally established by Josh’s Dad in the 1980’s, this surf shop has been here for a while but has had a recent exciting rebrand as formerly known as North Core Girls. You can’t miss this store, a vibrant orange facade dresses the outside of the shop and step inside for some surf culture. They have created their own line of clothes including t-shirts that are perfect for summer or any occasion. Make sure you stop by whilst walking along Fore street in Newquay.
Sunny Days also stocks many well known brands such as reef, Havana’s, billabong. You’ll also find handmade jewellery and other unique gifts from local Cornish brands.

Married to the sea
A Cornish surf brand inspired by its surroundings, Married to the Sea is a successful clothing and lifestyle shop now with stores in St Ives and Mawgan Porth. Married to the Sea sells their own branded clothing with stylish prints and also stocks wooden bellyboards and surfboards.
On the second floor, you’ll discover The Vintage Room which has a selection of beautiful pieces; dresses, jackets, shirts and many more types of clothing.

Watershed
Watershed is an independent lifestyle surf brand that was created in 2011. Born in Newquay, they launched their own original brand in 2013, which has become globally recognised.
The Watershed style is timeless and eco-conscious with a commitment to sustainability. For each product created, Watershed recovers 1kg ocean-bound plastic waste (equivalent of 80 plastic bottles).
We visited the store in Newquay last year, where we bought a top that we love! Unfortunately Watershed no longer has a high street store, however, you can still grab Watershed goodies online at www.watershedbrand.com.
On their online shop you’ll find incredible artwork, durable backpacks and quality clothing. Watershed have an online journal which shares stories of sustainability, locals stories and behind the scenes of their collections and products.

Tea and leaves
When visiting Newquay make sure to have a look at Killacourt shopping centre which showcases small independent businesses and one that caught our eye was Tea and Leaves!
As fellow plant lovers, we were drawn in by their lovely homegrown succulents and were amazed to see the selection of surprises inside. Tea and Leaves is an eco-focused local business selling luxury loose leaf tea and has many wonderful combinations which you can experience for yourself.
Tea and Leaves also sell a selection of tea accessories including infusers, beautiful teapots, ceramic mugs and more.

Northshore surf shop was created almost 40 years ago, when a pair of friends realised that they could help surfers find what they were looking for.
This surf shop offers a range of clothing and lifestyle products including surf boards, wetsuits and surf accessories essential for any surfer. The team are friendly and happy to help you find what you need. Northshore surf shop is well worth a visit to browse the racks for some goodies.
