Les Menuires, a family-friendly favourite ski resort in France, offers an exceptional ski experience in the Three Valleys, the largest ski area in the world. Established in the 1960s as a purpose-built ski resort, Les Menuires is an ideal destination for the best snow conditions. Les Menuires is classified as a snow-sure resort. Its high altitude at 1850m ensures reliable snowfall—an increasingly significant feature in the face of climate change.
The best ski holidays allow you to ski in and out of where you are staying. Les Menuires has an excellent selection of places to stay, several of which allow you to ski directly to your hotel. Les Menuires offers a variety of accommodations, including hotels, apartments, chalets, residences, refuges, and a motorhome aire. Les Menuires offers both budget-friendly and more luxurious high-end options, depending on your budget and preferences.
We stayed in Les Menuires for a week and had some of the nicest snow we had ever seen! Les Menuires is a modern resort village, not the traditional Savoyard mountain chalet ski resort you might expect. More classic chalets can be found in places such as La Fontanettes, which is a little further from La Croisette.

This guide will share the best places to stay in Les Menuires, what types of accommodation are on offer, what to expect, and the best areas of the resort.
What to know before booking accommodation in Les Menuires?
It can be stressful when booking your first ski accommodation at a ski resort if you're unsure of what to look out for. The different kinds of accommodation will offer various types of services and have differing reservation requirements.
The minimum stay you can reserve is seven days, mainly because a majority of residences, chalets, and apartments have a weekly booking schedule. Since Saturday is the changeover day, you can arrive late on Saturday afternoon and depart early on Saturday morning.
Since there is only one road into the valley, there is more traffic in Les Menuires on Saturdays, and delays are likely to develop. To make the trip to Les Menuires, it's worthwhile to allow extra time for travel on Saturdays.
The best rates are usually found when booking for a week; however, there are also offers for weekend stays at specific times of the year, particularly when Les Menuires is less crowded. The best deals and savings for Les Menuires will be discussed in the next section along with advice on how to find the top bargains.
If you can book in advance or have the flexibility to book at the last minute, you will have the best chance for the best deals for a Les Menuires ski trip. Check which planned events there are for the 2024/2025 season in Les Menuires to plan your ski trip.
What special offers for accommodation are there in Les Menuires?
Take advantage of Black Friday deals for your accommodation; many ski package holidays are offering discounts to book for the best deals. Les Menuires is offering 27% off your ski passes if you book accommodation directly on their website.
It’s worth checking prices on other sites before making your booking, but having a quick look, this offer was great, and some prices were cheaper than big booking sites. This works for both the 3 Vallées and the Les Menuires/Saint-Martin-de-Belleville ski pass and does not apply to the pedestrian pass.
Another offer for Les Menuires is booking a weekend ski break where you can get up to a 20% discount. This deal is great for those not wanting a short stay and wanting to avoid those busy Saturday changeover days!
The offers for weekend breaks also include 27% off your ski pass and 35% off ski rental gear. All of these discounts mentioned for booking directly on the Les Menuires official website are valid from 7 December 2024 to 21 April 2025.
If you have maximum flexibility on when you can visit, for example, you can book outside of the usual school holidays and can wait until later in the season; this gives you the best chances for great deals.
Booking your ski trip in March or April will allow you to take advantage of exclusive discounts where you can enjoy sunnier days and fewer crowds. This is from 8 March 2025 to 21 April 2025.
